Optimal Power Flow Incorporating Thyristor-Controlled Series Capacitors Using the Gorilla Troops Algorithm

The optimal power flow issue (OPFI) can be solved in this work using the recently developed algorithm, gorilla troops algorithm (GTA). goal of OPFI is to reduce numerous functions such as minimizing fuel costs, emissions, and losses improving voltage stability related electric networks (EPNs). GTA inspired by gorillas’ social habits, which include migration a strange region, toward specified spot, traveling other gorillas, competing for adult females, escorting silverback. tested with without inclusion Thyristor-Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) devices system. proposed applied on practical Egyptian West Delta-EPN (WD-EPN) standard IEEE 57-bus EPN TCSC appraise algorithm’s performance OPFI. In addition, large-scale 118 bus system higher outperformance compared particle swarm optimization. results illustrate that stability, are reduced percentage (18.847% 18.818%), (59% 58.97%), (13.405% 11.507%), (64.337% 65.178%), respectively, while WD-EPN (8.547%, 8.565%), (13.641%, 13.6%), (61.949%, 61.954%), respectively. A comparison study conducted demonstrate GTA’s effectiveness when algorithms improved Salp Swarm Algorithm, quasi-reflection jellyfish search, heap-based bat search network electromagnetic field optimization, well-known well. According these algorithms, demonstrates best among attained results.
